Day 3: Betsy's perspective.

Today was the dreaded McKenzie Pass ride.  Over 4,000 feet of elevation to tackle.  Several of us thought it could not be done.  The sag wagon was prepared to rescue us from a certain defeat!   But wait...... there was no dread.  There was no defeat.  The climb was dwarfed by the glory of the forest.

We were surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest.  With so much to take in, the miles sailed by.  What should have been grueling became only a welcome challenge.  And a celebration at the summit!  A sense of awe at the accomplishment.

And the reward of a 15 mile downhill flight!  After today's achievement, there is no longer a sense of trepidation for what the road ahead might hold.  Onwards........
